The Law Offices of Eyal Talassazan, P.C. recently secured a significant appellate win in the matter of Dahan v. Dahan. In a decision issued by the Appellate Division, Second Department, the court overturned a lower court ruling that had held our client in contempt and awarded attorney’s fees to the opposing party.
This case arose from a longstanding post-divorce dispute involving a settlement payment. While the appellate court upheld our client’s obligation to pay the remaining balance, it found that the contempt ruling was improper due to a lack of a clear deadline—especially since the opposing party had extended the time for payment. The court also reversed the award of attorney’s fees, recognizing that both sides had only partially prevailed.
We’re proud of this outcome and what it represents: thoughtful appellate advocacy and a fair result for our client. Congratulations to Eyal Talassazan for leading this effort and delivering another strong result for the firm.
